Should I weigh my graduation announcements before I put stamps on them?

I have to mail out around 20 graduation announcements. They each have an inner envelope, and a large, almost like card-stock announcement. Would the Forever stamps I have work?

A "Forever" stamp is worth the current rate for a letter weighing one ounce or less.

Many post offices have a scale in the lobby you can use. To be sure, weigh ten of your announcements together and divide the weight by ten -- some scales are not completely accurate at low weights. If there's no scale, one of the counter clerks can weigh the item for you and tell you what the postage rate would be. They'll sell you nice stamps of the correct denomination if they're needed.
